The Secret Garden wins Bord Bia award for Best Specialist Garden Centre.
In February 2008 The Secret Garden Centre was awa rded the Bord Bia 3 star rating, as well as Best Specialist Garden Centre at the National Amenity Horticulture Awards. For the second year running (2009) we were awarded the Bord Bia three star rating.
The Secret Garden is tucked away in the beautiful countryside of North Cork. Stocking a wide range of plants, trees, shrubs, perennials and gardening sundries, it's the perfect place to come and find something different for your garden. We may be a little off the beaten track, but we think we're worth the journey!
We believe in organic gardening methods and look to support Irish biodiversity through wildlife friendly planting schemes and reduced use of herbicides and pesticides. At The Secret Garden Centre we are passionate about the environment, and will try to give customers as many alternatives as possible for dealing with gardening problems. We refuse to sell slug pellets (apart from organic ones, which are safe for wildlife and pets), and sell a wide range of organic gardening products. If you need advice in tackling a garden pest or disease, please ask.
